I think this one was not even trying to explain the time travelling part. There is going to be another Chinese drama with very similar premises (modern girl time travelling to the same emperor's court and interacting with the same princes). This one is said to be based on the book and she finds herself in her previous incarnation's body rather than just randomly appearing in the past. Sounds much more convincing.

I've always found much harder to hear individual words in Korean than Japanese. Mostly I've picked up the ways people address each other, familiar terms, titles etc.

You remind me that I still haven't finished Fuurin Kazan. How far have you got with it. You almost got it right. It's empress Chunchu although nobody actually called her that in the series.
